Film Distribution / Operations
Overview
This project brought disconnected distribution workstreams into one clearer operating system, giving teams a shared view of status, deadlines, assets, and handoffs.
The challenge
Acquisitions, localization, deliverables, and reporting were tracked across separate documents and conversations, making it difficult to understand priority, ownership, and risk.
My role
I mapped the operational flow, identified recurring handoff gaps, structured the data model, and designed the reporting views needed for day-to-day use.
What I built
A centralized workflow tracker with acquisition status, territory requirements, localization progress, deliverables, reporting checkpoints, and ownership fields.
Process
I interviewed stakeholders, audited existing trackers, reduced duplicate fields, defined the core statuses, and built working views for teams with different decision needs.
Key features
Unified status tracking • Deliverables visibility • Localization progress • Ownership fields • Reporting views
Outcomes
Teams gained a clearer view of active work, fewer duplicated updates, and faster access to the information needed for distribution decisions.
