Film Acquisition & Distribution Operations System

Film Distribution / Operations

Operations • Distribution • Workflow Design

Unified acquisitions, localization, deliverables, reporting, and workflow tracking into a single operational system for film distribution teams.

A unified operations system for film distribution teams managing complex acquisition, localization, deliverable, and reporting work.

This project brought disconnected distribution workstreams into one clearer operating system, giving teams a shared view of status, deadlines, assets, and handoffs.

Acquisitions, localization, deliverables, and reporting were tracked across separate documents and conversations, making it difficult to understand priority, ownership, and risk.

I mapped the operational flow, identified recurring handoff gaps, structured the data model, and designed the reporting views needed for day-to-day use.

A centralized workflow tracker with acquisition status, territory requirements, localization progress, deliverables, reporting checkpoints, and ownership fields.

I interviewed stakeholders, audited existing trackers, reduced duplicate fields, defined the core statuses, and built working views for teams with different decision needs.

Unified status tracking • Deliverables visibility • Localization progress • Ownership fields • Reporting views

Teams gained a clearer view of active work, fewer duplicated updates, and faster access to the information needed for distribution decisions.

Messy system? Let's talk.

I can make it make sense.
